Description

Well, I never thought I would get to image this region from here, but the other night, having recently discovered I could go down a few degrees further in declination than I ever thought, I decided to wake myself up later in the night and image this - for just under an hour, which was all I could roughly get, because of its low position in the sky. That said, I might have got half an hour extra, had it not been for the cloud that floated in! Anyway, I am not sure about the orangey-reddish colour, as other images of this seem to have quite a gold colour in this area, but I could not get that particular hue for some reason or other. Simply, I am just pleased to have got what I have - an object I have wanted to image for years. It was not easy to process with so much going on, on the eye, and I think I could have done with a little more data, as I have processed it up to the limits. Thanks everyone. Simon
